Day 41: To The Atlantic

We made it! After more than 3400 miles, we have reached the Atlantic Ocean and the end of our trip.

The day started with some back roads. We rolled out fairly easy, just chatting as we pedaled along. Today's 77 mile ride with no hills seemed remarkably easy to us given what we have been doing.

Lunch was at the 70 mile mark, at a Mexican restaurant. This gave us all a chance to gather as a group.

After lunch, we all rode together for the last 6 miles at a very casual pace, just enjoying the sanctification of completing the trip.

Here we are making our way onto the beach.

It was low tide, and many people brought their bikes down for photos. A number of riders had family members meet them here.

Here is a photo of our fabulous team of guides. They did an incredible job of supporting us throughout the trip.

One final photo of the ocean.

I will likely post another entry tomorrow or the next day with some reflections about the trip. Thanks to everyone who sent me encouraging messages during my ride. I hope you have all enjoyed the photos.

I am off to the end of trip party!
