Day 32: Paducah KY to Clarksville TN
Yet another fabulous day as we biked 108 miles from Paducah KY to Clarksville TN.
The day started out with a fabulous sunrise over the Ohio River.
With lightly scattered clouds, temperatures in the upper 50s when we rolled out onto country roads, life was great.
The pavement was silky smooth as we road along an untrafficked state road.
Midway through the morning, we came to the first of two bridges going across two large lakes.
These bridges had a protected bike / pedestrian lane which was terrific. They also had interesting art work in the railings.
At the top, many of us stopped to take photos. I decided to feature my trusty steed.
After lunch, we continued along the Kentucky roads.
Farms dotted the countryside as we continued up and down rolling hills.
Perhaps 10 miles after lunch, we entered Tennessee, our 11th state.
Shockingly, the countryside in Tennessee was not all that different than what we had just left in Kentucky.
Both being beautiful.
Tomorrow, the weather is supposed to be raining, but we have only a 54 mile ride to Nashville. The following day will be our fourth and final rest day of the trip. Just 8 more riding days left in the trip.
