Day 33: Clarksville to Nashville

Today we rode just 53 miles to get to Nashville. Normally, on a short riding day, we have a late departure in the morning. However, today rain was expected midday, so we rolled out early.

The sky had some blue when I left the hotel, but by the time I reached the countryside outside of Clarksville, clouds filed the sky.

At times, the weather looked more threatening than it turned out to be. Overall, there was intermittent light rain which was fine since the temperature was in the upper 60s.

Part of our ride was climbing along side this stream.

This was an abandoned bridge across the stream further up the mountain.

By late morning, Nashville came into sight. Our hotel is in the heart of downtown. Tomorrow is our final rest day, then just 7 days of riding to get to the Atlantic.
